Simply defination of stress management

“set of techniques and programs intended to help people deal more effectively with stress in their lives by analysing the specific stressors and taking positive actions to minimize their effects” (Gale Encyclopaedia of Medicine, 2008).

 

There are some ways to manage stress and started to, live happily as usual.

  1. Always be positive

  2. Accept that you cannot control some events. Don’t feel aggressive or low confidence, accept that you can’t do something.

  3. Try to be calm instead of aggressiveness.focus on your feelings, emotions, beliefs instead of becoming aggressive, passive, depressed.

  4. Practice relaxation techniques like yoga, medications for stress management.

  5. Do exercise regularly because when you are fit you can fight against stress more effectively.

  6. Manage your time and make some time for relaxation, exercise, hobbies, and for interest.

  7. Sleep for a suitable time and get some rest because our body needs time to recover after the stressful events.

  8. Don’t rely on drugs, medications, alcohol to reduce stress.

  9. Seek social support and try to spend more time in those activities, you feel happy and get enjoyed.

  10. Seek psychological treatment to managed stress or to trained yourself to fight with the stress.

  11. Identify the reason for stress, the source of stress in your life like changing jobs, moving, or going through a divorce, pinpointing the sources of chronic stress can be more complicated.

You should have to ask yourself these questions.

  1. What caused your stress (make a guess if you’re unsure)

  2. How you felt, both physically and emotionally

  3. How you acted in response

  4. What you did to make yourself feel better

Practice on the 4A’s to manage your stress.

  1. Avoid: avoid unnecessary stress. If some person causing stress for you then try to spend less time with them or end the relationship. Make your own environment with those things that can’t cause stress for you anymore like if traffic cause stress for you then you have to take long and fewer traffic routes or news cause stress turn off the TV. Analyze your entire schedule and drop those tasks that are not important to the bottom of the day or after some time remove them.

  2. Alter the situation: If you can’t able to low stressful conditions then alter them. Change the way you deal with the situations in life. express your feelings telling others about your beliefs, opinions. Try to express your feelings in front of others, otherwise, stress will increase. If someone wants that you change your attitude, try to change and start compromise on things.

  3. Adapt the stressors: If you can’t change the stressors or lower them then you change your self and feel easy with the stressors.try to think the positive perspective of stressors like not fuming about a traffic jam, look at it as an opportunity to pause and regroup, listen to your favorite radio station, or enjoy some alone time. Adjust your standard and practice to gratitude and thinks big.

  4. Accept: Some sources of stress cannot be changed like the death of a loved one, a serious illness, or a national recession. While facing your challenges don’t think negative but think like that it’s an opportunity for you. If your decision cause stress then think that we learn from mistakes. Learn to forgive everyone and try to share your feelings with others.

Change your dealings with stressful conditions.

Reduce the noise, turn off the screen, TV, and source of creating noise for the sake

of calm down to yourself.

Creating boundaries for your internal set of rules. You should have to know what

type of behavior you accept or not. How much you can give space to others or

priorities to others. Healthy boundaries are very good to be healthy in stress. We

should have to make boundaries in which we respect ourselves and express our

feelings clearly for our well-being.
