Emphysema
The chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which we call COPD.The chronic word used for those diseases which develop and happen over a long period of time.
The pulmonary disease used for lung diseases.
Emphysema is the chronic condition of lungs in which damage of alveoli includes and tiny air sacs in the lung which allow the rapid gaseous exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide from the bloodstream.
There are millions of alveoli in the normal lungs, as we breathe oxygen draws in and transporting it to the blood the alveoli shrink when we exhale carbon dioxide draws out of the body.
Emphysema weakens the inner wall of the alveoli and in resulting ruptures larger air spaces than the many tiny ones.
The surface area of the lungs reduced and the amount of oxygen reaching the bloodstream makes it difficult to breathe, also during exhalation old air becomes trapped leaving no room for fresh oxygen air to enter the body.
Emphysema is one of the most types of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The chronic condition of COPOD is bronchitis complications of Memphis also include heart failure.

- Smoking
It is observed that smokers are about six times more likely chance to develop that condition than non-smokers.
- Environment

Airways making breathing easier and relieving coughing, shortness of breath. Antibiotics fight with the infections which worsen your condition inhaled steroids to relieve the shortness of breath.
Pulmonary rehabilitation program to teach breathing exercises and techniques supplemental oxygen nutrition therapy surgery lung volume reduction surgery where small wedges of damaged lung tissues are removed lung transplant in severe cases of lung damage when other options have failed.
